Hello,
I’m Ben, a creative director and copywriter.
I’ve worked above, below, and through every line going.
Wherever the line, I always bring insightful, clear thinking to the table.
I love big, simple ideas that change behaviour.
The more relevant and unexpected, the better.
That’s how I judge work — mine and others.
Before cars, beer and health at BBH, I was freelancing with my creative partner at agencies including Ogilvy, TBWA and Publicis.
Before that, I started a creative consultancy working with start-ups to sharpen their focus and trigger distinction.
My last permanent role was as a Creative Director at VCCP, where I ran the 30-strong retail creative department with my then partner.
I helped turn Canon into a storytelling brand, created a world-first for O2, won an energy drink pitch, and got my hands dirty (literally) in the world of Shell lubricants.
In another life, I was an account man. But don’t tell anyone.
While a ‘suit’ at AMV, I wrote my first ad – an award-winning poster for The Economist.
Suddenly, the idea of getting paid to be creative,
was an idea too difficult to ignore.
Which is just the kind I love today.
